Sildenafil, known by the brand name Viagra, is an oral medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It works by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation. This medication belongs to a class of drugs called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. It works by relaxing the muscles in the blood vessels supplying the penis, allowing for improved blood flow during sexual arousal. Viagra works for up to 36 hours, but can last up to 4 hours in some individuals. This medication may be prescribed for other uses; see the "Generic usage" section for further information.
Sildenafil works by increasing blood flow to the penis, which helps achieve and maintain an erection. It does this by blocking PDE5, an enzyme that breaks down into two substances, sildenafil citrate and sildenafil. Sildenafil is used to treat erectile dysfunction, but can also be used to treat pulmonary hypertension. It is also used to treat pulmonary hypertension, as this helps blood vessels to relax and allows blood to flow more freely through the body. It's important to note that Sildenafil should only be taken as prescribed by a doctor, as it can be dangerous to take it with other medications that may interact with it. If you have any questions about how to use Sildenafil, speak with your doctor or pharmacist.

Serious side effects can include priapism (a prolonged and painful erection) and sudden vision loss. If you experience any severe side effects, it's important to seek emergency medical attention.
Sildenafil should be kept in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. This is particularly important for children and pets. Do not store Sildenafil below 77 degrees F (25 degrees C). Always check the expiration date before using this medication.
Certain medications can interact with Sildenafil, including nitrates (used to treat chest pain). Our study was conducted to determine whether the use of sildenafil (Viagra) in patients undergoing treatment with the erectile dysfunction drug could improve erectile function. To examine the effectiveness of sildenafil (Viagra) in patients with erectile dysfunction (ED) and to compare the effects of sildenafil and tadalafil (Cialis) on erectile function and overall satisfaction with ED symptoms (OS). We conducted a single-blind, randomized, controlled study in a population of men with ED and OPD, who were treated with sildenafil (Viagra), tadalafil (Cialis) and the other drugs. Sildenafil was added to the ED medication for patients with ED. Sildenafil and tadalafil were administered in a randomized, double-blind fashion. The primary efficacy endpoint was to determine if sildenafil improved erectile function in patients with ED, and to assess the extent of improvement. The secondary efficacy measures were erectile function (Erectile Function domain), and overall satisfaction (OS domain of the International Index of Erectile Function, an additional instrument measuringOS). Twenty-two men (mean age, 64.5 ± 6.4 years; range, 44–75 years) were included in the study, and 24 men (15.0%) were treated with sildenafil (Viagra) and tadalafil (Cialis). The sildenafil was administered in a randomized, double-blind fashion. There was no significant difference between sildenafil and tadalafil in the secondary efficacy measures.

The erectile dysfunction (ED) and the sexual dysfunction (SD) are often associated with sexual function, as the ED is the predominant dysfunction, in which the penis is in contact with the female sexual organs. The SD is a complex interaction of different neurotransmitter receptors, including serotonin and dopamine, in the brain and in the spinal cord, which is involved in arousal and response to sexual stimuli [].
ED is a complex disorder characterized by the inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for sexual activity, which can be difficult to treat. The most common symptoms of ED include erectile dysfunction (ED), as well as a lack of sexual satisfaction [,].
